At Pickleball Cove we believe the space you play in should be as enjoyable as the game itself. From the beginning we knew we didn't want the facility to feel sterile, overly serious or bland like so many indoor sports venues. Pickleball is social, energetic and fun. The environment should say so.
That's why we partnered with mural artist Kamal to design a series of large wall murals that bring the spirit of the Cove to life.
Creating a space that feels fun
Rather than plain white walls and a logo, we wanted something playful and memorable — a space where the moment you walk in, you feel the personality of the place. The mural concepts blend a few elements of the brand:
- Nautical-inspired visuals that nod to the Cove name
- Bold colours drawn from the Pickleball Cove palette
- Playful characters and shapes that keep the space lighthearted
- Energetic lines and waves that suggest motion and rallying
Own the Rally.
That phrase came out of the design process and stuck. It captures the attitude we want players to bring to the court while keeping the environment welcoming.
Concept art to mock-up
Before any paint touched the walls, Kamal created detailed concept illustrations showing how each wall could look. We then placed those designs onto photographs of the actual court to build a realistic mock-up, which helped us judge scale, spacing and how the artwork would wrap around the whole environment.
A facility with personality
Pickleball facilities are often very functional and visually forgettable. Our goal is different: we want the Cove to be a place people remember — somewhere you come not just to play, but to enjoy the atmosphere and bring friends. The murals set that tone.
Seeing the designs placed directly into the space made us even more excited about the direction, and we think players are going to love stepping onto a court that feels this vibrant.
